Liebert® EXM™ UPS
The Liebert® EXM™ 3-Phase AC UPS offers a dynamic power protection solution for midsize IT applications, edge operations, colocation facilities, and specialized systems like testing, medical, and telecom equipment. It is also suitable for emergency lighting applications.
Efficient and Economical Operation
Designed to meet both operational and capital expenditure requirements, the Liebert EXM UPS provides efficient power protection. Its unity power factor maximizes capacity within a smaller footprint, reducing cabling and installation expenses. The transformer-free design further contributes to savings in space, capital, weight, and shipping. The unit achieves superior operating efficiencies through its Eco-Mode, reaching 99%, and Double Conversion Mode, delivering 97% efficiency on 480V models. It is also ENERGY STAR® qualified.

The unity power factor of the Liebert EXM UPS allows for greater power delivery in a compact size, leading to increased system capacity and reduced infrastructure costs compared to other brands.
Flexible Configurations and Deployment
The Liebert EXM UPS features a flexible, scalable, and redundant design, available in various configurations to ensure optimal power protection. Scalability paths allow for growth from 10kW to 250kW, accommodating capacity and redundancy plans with options for internal batteries, rapid deployment, and N+1 redundancy. Ancillary cabinets, including maintenance bypass, bypass and distribution, battery (with Lithium-ion options for 480V models), dual input transformer, and paralleling cabinets, are available to match system demands.
High Availability
The on-line, double conversion design ensures reliable power and maximum uptime. Multi-module configurations enhance availability, while the internally redundant design minimizes bypass switch reliance. The UPS boasts a standard 65kA short circuit withstand rating (under specific conditions), easy component access, high Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) performance, and redundant communication paths for dependable control.
Intuitive and Intelligent Operation
The next-generation touchscreen control panel provides an intuitive interface for easy operation, reducing human error and improving productivity. It visualizes power performance parameters and offers accessible service and maintenance support, integrating with The Trellis™ Platform. Optional integrated Alber Battery Monitoring Systems provide advance warning of potential UPS battery failures and real-time visibility into system health. Communication and environmental monitoring are facilitated through the Unity Communications card and sensors for temperature, humidity, access, leaks, and more.
Software and Services
Software solutions such as The Trellis™ Platform, Liebert® SiteScan®, and Liebert Nform™ are available to manage power infrastructure. Vertiv’s LIFE™ Services offer 24×7 remote monitoring, expert analysis, and rapid response. Liebert® Services provide factory-trained technicians for proactive maintenance, aiming to extend system life, optimize efficiency, and increase overall availability with 24×7 critical maintenance response.
