POWER TO SAVE LIVES: REDUCED RISK OF DOWNTIME AND IMPROVED RESPONSE TIME

Affinity Health’s Mercy Medical Center provides emergency/trauma care and surgical services as well as many medical specialties such as cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, intensive care, obstetrics, and neurosurgery.

The existing UPS (which provides uninterruptible power for essential medical equipment) had reached the end of its useful life and was at risk of failing.

QPS performed the replacement without disrupting power service to critical medical equipment- doing surgery on the power system- ensuring all systems remained operational. QPS conducted a site assessment and recommended a replacement UPS sized to meet current and future requirements of Affinity Health’s Mercy Medical Center.

In addition, QPS recommended and installed an external wall mounted maintenance bypass to provide a method to maintain the equipment without requiring an outage.

Everything went great; everyone hit their time marks spot on…the finished product looks fantastic.
